TERMS OF SERVICE — BOOK A TRADIE Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE] By creating an account or using Book A Tradie (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. WHAT BOOK A TRADIE IS Book A Tradie is a marketplace that connects clients with tradespeople. We are a platform, not a party to the work. We do not perform the work, employ tradies, or guarantee any job. Any agreement to do work is strictly between the client and the tradie. ELIGIBILITY You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. YOUR ACCOUNT Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. TRADIE VERIFICATION A verified badge means we reviewed the documents submitted — it is not a warranty of skill, licensing, or insurance. Tradies must submit only genuine documents and hold any licences, permits, insurance, and tax registrations required by law. SUBSCRIPTIONS & PAYMENTS Some features require an active subscription. Pricing and billing are shown in the App. We may grant complimentary periods at our discretion. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. ACCEPTABLE USE Do not post false or illegal content, harass others, impersonate anyone, misrepresent your identity or qualifications, or misuse the App. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these Terms. MESSAGING You acknowledge that our authorised staff may review chat content for safety, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and to enforce these Terms. DISPUTES BETWEEN USERS Any dispute about a job is between the client and the tradie. We may, at our discretion, review relevant records (including chats) to help resolve a dispute, but this does not make us a party to it. DISCLAIMERS & LIABILITY The App is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any loss arising from work arranged through the App or your use of it. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. By continuing, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
