4. How to request a record
- Complete Form 2 (Request for Access to Record of Private Body), available from the Information Regulator's website.
- Send it to the Information Officer at info@bookatradie.co.za.
- Provide enough detail to identify the record and to identify yourself, and state the form of access you want.
- If you are requesting the record to exercise or protect a right, say which right, and how the record would help.
- We will decide within 30 days and tell you in writing. That period may be extended by a further 30 days where the request is for a large number of records; we will tell you if it is.
Fees
A request fee and an access fee may be payable, as prescribed by the Regulations. We will notify you of any fee before processing the request, and may require a deposit where preparation is expected to exceed six hours. No fee is payable for a request for your own personal information.
If we refuse
We will give reasons. Grounds for refusal include the mandatory protection of another person's privacy, commercial information of a third party, information supplied in confidence, and legally privileged records. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to a court.
5. Processing of personal information under POPIA
The purposes for which we process personal information, the categories of data subjects and information, the recipients, any cross-border transfers, and our security measures are set out in full in our Privacy Policy and summarised in our POPIA notice. Personal information is transferred to and stored in Frankfurt, Germany.
